The spread of the Coronavirus is still continuing and we are being asked to comment on how businesses might be impacted.
Nineteen patients in England have tested positive for coronavirus as of 28/2/2019 and this is rising by the day. A common reason for small or medium businesses not holding Cyber Insurance is that they are too small to be targeted however cyber criminals are indiscriminate in their approach and often don’t know who they are attacking, only that they are attacking weak systems or networks with vulnerabilities.
Aviva’s offering includes money cover and £500,000 of Legal Expenses as standard, as well as cover for temporary employees and more. Plus they’ve reduced their prices by up to 25% for over 70% of accepted self-employed trades. It’s all part of providing you with cover that better fits with the way you work, so you’re free to focus on running your business.
Clarke Williams Ltd and Aviva work together, combining our personal expertise with one of the most extensive single packages of cover out there.
Aviva’s Cyber insurance offers three distinct benefits: a free cyber health check* which helps you spot weaknesses in your business IT security before a hacker does; insurance cover designed specifically for SMEs that can also be added to your existing business insurance policy; and a 24/7 incident helpline to experts who will co-ordinate the end-to-end response to get your business back on track.
At Clarke Williams we understand that the fraud landscape is constantly evolving. Whilst employee fraud is an ongoing business risk, with the advent of the internet, e-commerce and increased reliance on technology, businesses are also becoming more susceptible to frauds committed by outsiders.
The following list was produced by the ABI (Association of British Insurers) but it is very important to note that this is only a rough guide as every single tree situation is different, there may be a number of other factors outside the scope of this piece which may abnormally effect whether a tree could affect a property. Trees should therefore be maintained by regular inspection by a qualified professional where there is a risk to property or members of the public should a tree fall outside the boundaries of your property.
For cars registered from April 6th 2020, most benefit-in-kind rates will be reduced by two percent over the current system. For Electric Vehicles, that means zero percent, which is also extended to most vehicles registered prior to April 6th. The reduced charges will also apply to hybrids and plug-in hybrids that are capable of 130 miles or more of electric only range, with CO2 emissions less than 50g/km. (very few vehicles fit in this bracket)
Current projections are for the 0% rate to increase to 1% by 2021/22 and up to 2% in 2022/23, but this may change.
